The first hearings of Haysuperstar 1 were held in May of 2006. It was unexpected but thousands of young people applied for the contest.
The project made an amazing fuss. For the first time there was an opportunity to become popular by a TV program and make a real success.
The creative staff and the jury of the project left for Gyumri, Stepanavan and Vanadzor to seek for the Haysuperstar 1. The last hearings of the first stage took place in Yerevan.
The jury was to make a choice at the first and the second stages. And only after their final selection the 11 possible contestants were presented to the audience.
The contestants of the final stage were performing new songs in the end of each week, their style was also changing and everyone began discussing them a short time later.
Shant TV not only gave the contestants a chance to get to know famous people and work with professionals, but also improve their talent.
Numerous letters and phone calls were coming both to the organizers and to the contestants. There were letters, in which TV viewers confessed love to their favorite contestant and also there were some letters, giving thanks to the authors.
The winner of Haysuperstar 1 was Susanna Petrosyan.
She has gathered the majority of the votes.
